Outfit | Senior Prom

Even though summer just started today, we all know that it officially started on the last day of school. With all of the craziness of going to college in the fall, there are some things during senior year of high school that will be missed. For me, I loved so many things - school (except homework), teachers, friends, and lastly, the dances. Ohhh the formal school dances. Senior prom is the last high school dance ever, and I'd like to think it's whatever you make of it. It could be the most epic night of high school, or just a relaxed, fun night out.

I went with a friend and a couple others in a pretty small group. It was held at the local museum which made the perfect atmosphere - displays, a carousal, and large windows. The food that was served were tacos, paninis, mashed potatoes, and the best part - ice cream sundaes! It was pretty sad by the end of the night just because prom was the last big event before graduation. I still had lots of fun and I actually regret junior year when I went to prom and took it for granted.

I may or may not have stabbed myself during this picture...

The necessities: gum, Jean Paul Gaultier Ma Dame perfume, Essie's Turquoise and Caicos, and Born Lippy by the Body Shop
I also talked about these earrings from my orchestra concert in this post recently.

Dress: City Studio - Macy's (discontinued)
Nude Heels: Steve Madden
Earrings: local store

There's only one senior prom in a person's life (hopefully) so if you haven't had yours yet - make it memorable.

See you soon,

What I Ate Today #2

Finally - another What I Ate Today post! I know that What I Ate Wednesdays (WIAW) are very popular among other blogs, but sticking to a set schedule for only Wednesdays would be terribly hard for me since I like flexibility. On this day I was pretty busy, but I still (tried) to eat pretty healthily.  My day was filled with reading, errands, and a tough day at tennis. All in all it was a good day with lots of things to do. I hope to continue these food posts because a) it helps me keep track and b) I am a food picture taking fiend. I love it so so much.

{Trader Joe's Multigrain Oats, banana, and Unsweetened Silk Almond Milk}
{Salad, Watermelon, and Hawaiian Pizza}
( Not shown: 1:30 - A cup of skinny popcorn aka my addiction)

{Chocolate Chip Cliff Bar + Kirkland Sports Drink}
{3 Corn Fish Tacos}
 Be sure to keep up with me on instagram because there's definitely more food pictures on there as well! I hope you all have a lovely day.

See you soon,

Avocado Tomato Breakfast Sandwich

I always like finding new things to eat for breakfast because it is the best meal of the day. Avocados are filled with healthy fats and protein - I especially love eating a filling breakfast like this before exercising or helping out at the local tennis camp. This sandwich would be delicious with or without an egg, and it adds lots of protein and flavor. I thought to make a creamy spread to contrast with the flavors and it was surprisingly yummy. When I'm in a hurry I don't make the yogurt mayo spread and it's still delicious! Basically all of the recipes on the blog are easy because I want you to add or take away ingredients that you do or don't enjoy! I hope you enjoyed this simple idea to change up the usual cereal or oatmeal every morning.

2 sllices of whole grain toast
1 egg
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
1/2 an avocado
1 small tomato
1 teaspoon greek yogurt
1 teaspoon mayo
lawry's salt (desired seasoning) + pepper

  1. With one half of an avocado mash it up with a fork and slice a tomato into small slices.
  2. In a small bowl mix the yogurt, mayo, salt, and pepper.
  3. With the coconut oil, fry one egg. Assemble all of the ingredients and spread the avocado onto a slice of toast. Put the tomato and egg on top, and finish with the second slice of toast spread with the yogurt and mayo.
  4. Enjoy!

Recently, I've been loving trying out new ingredients and recipes so expect much more summer recipes in the future!

e.l.f HD Blush in Superstar

Of course when I first walked into Target I only had intentions of buying a couple items that I actually needed...but I couldn't resist this $3 blush. It happens every time because Target is probably one of my favorite stores ever. They had about four different colors to choose from and I picked "Superstar", this lovely darker pink and coral color. At first glance I saw that there was some type of liquid and product that separated in the container, so you have to shake it up pretty well before using it or else oil will come out instead of the color.

One of my favorite things is how sanitary this is because it has a nice pump. The packaging is sleek and black, resembling the Makeup Forever blushes as well. The color is very pigmented and only a little is needed. I barely pressed down on the pump to put onto the back of my hand because little to no product is needed for both cheeks. This will last me very long time and is well worth the $3 that I paid. I also found that I love dabbing a bit on my lips for a quick on the go color that also warms up my complexion and looks very natural. It lasts as long on my lips as it does on my cheeks. I would definitely try other colors in this same line - especially something more berry toned.

Overall Rating: 5/5
Cost: $
